Dr. Jonathan Marshall
Dr. Jonathan Marshall

Dr. Jonathan Marshall was born and raised in Simcoe, Ontario.  He first came to the Buffalo/Niagara region for College.  He graduated from Niagara University with an Honors BS in Biology.  While at Niagara University, he was the Team Captain for the men’s Varsity Ice Hockey Team.  Additionally, he played for the Knoxville Speed Professional Ice Hockey Team.  He then went on to Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he became a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed his Radiology Residency at St. James Hospital in Chicago, a pediatric Radiology residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and his Nuclear Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago.  Dr Marshall chose a clinical fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at McMaster University Medical Center, Hamilton General Hospital and Juravinski Cancer Hospital.  He was on to do additional Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowships, including Cross Sectional Imaging, in London.

Dr. Marshall came back to Buffalo to begin his professional career at Erie County Medical Center, where he is now the Chief of Radiology as a Radiologist for Great Lakes Medical Imaging.  He is a member of the Great Lakes Medical Imaging Executive Committee as well as the Assistant Chair of Radiology for the University at Buffalo Radiology Residency program.

His passion lies in Interventional Radiology.  Dr Marshall is completely dedicated to extraordinary patient care. There is such a high demand for these services in our community.  He worked to build the Interventional center out of our Park Club Lane location so that he could provide patients with a high level of clinical care in a setting they could feel comfortable in.

Dr. Christopher Nicholas

Dr. Christopher Nicholas was born in New Jersey and raised in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. He graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with his Bachelors of Science (joint honors biochemistry and behavioral neuroscience) and continued on there to complete his MD and diagnostic radiology residency. He completed his sub-specialty fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Nicholas started his career traveling to various towns/cities as a locum physician but has subsequently set down roots in Buffalo with Great Lakes Medical Imaging. He provides interventional radiology services in our outpatient headquarters in WIlliamsville as well as Buffalo General, Millard FIllmore Suburban, ECMC, and Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Nicholas always puts the patient first. He is passionate about the services he provides and making a difference in the lives of those he treats.

What Does An Interventional Radiologist Do?
